Tame the Wolf
Chapter 1: Be Good, Don't Touch Any Lower
"Be good. Don't go any lower."
The man's eyes were strained red as he stared down at the woman in his arms, his voice a low warning.
"Mmm..." She let out a soft whimper, tilting her head up slightly. Her dazed, alluring eyes glistened with tears and discontent.
That single glance made his gaze darken instantly. He pressed her firmly against the wall, his dangerous, ruthless eyes sweeping over her flushed cheeks.
"Do you even know who you're provoking?"
Tormented by the drug and an unfamiliar, feverish heat, she couldn't see who was holding her. She only acted on instinct, craving something—anything.
She couldn't articulate what she wanted, but she pressed herself closer to him.
"Mine. This man is mine."
He let out a low, muffled grunt. The last shred of his restraint crumbled as he crushed his lips against hers.
"Little rabbit, remember this. The man kissing you is Dorian Warrington."
---
Southeast Asia, Capital City.
A bar blazed with neon lights, bodies writhing on the dance floor.
"Vera?" Jasmine called out, trying to wake her best friend, who had fallen asleep in the booth.
Vera Warrington's eyes snapped open, a chill seeping through her drowsy gaze.
*Damn it. Why does that humiliating memory keep popping up out of nowhere?*
The first time Dorian Warrington met her, he'd teased her until she cried. Before leaving, he'd said: *"I'll wait until you're older to tease you properly."*
That sentence had been her nightmare for seventeen years.
She would never, ever flirt with that wolf Dorian Warrington. It had just been a dream.
Seeing the ferocity in Vera's eyes, Jasmine knew her friend had been dreaming about her fiancé again.
Vera was the little princess of the Warrington family in Southeast Asia. Her father, Master Five, was the region's undisputed ruler.
Dorian had been an orphan Master Five rescued from a Southeast Asian fighting pit. The boy had no name, so Master Five gave him his own surname, naming him Dorian Warrington. He raised him as his heir, treating him better than his own sons.
Dorian was a prodigy. During his military training, he topped every annual assessment by a landslide. At twenty, he took over the Warrington Group. Within five years, he had built a brand-new business empire, surpassing Master Five to become the king of Southeast Asia.
But this brilliant, ruthless genius wanted it all—power and love.
Not long ago, Vera had discovered the marriage had been arranged. She had stormed back from the capital to find Dorian and call off the engagement.
But Dorian had been so busy flying across Asia that his whereabouts were unpredictable. He was also intensely private. After two months of searching, Vera hadn't even seen her fiancé's current face.
Jasmine leaned in close. Beautiful as a siren, she grinned like a temptress. "Vera, I found you some models!"
Vera lifted her lazy gaze. The room was filled with handsome, charming men—lean waist, long legs.
It was a woman's paradise.
Jasmine clapped her hands at the models. "Boys, look up and let Miss Vera get a good look."
The men raised their heads, flashing dazzling smiles at the stunning, rebellious Vera, each one calling out, "Sister."
Vera swept her gaze over them lazily, then tilted her head and crooked a finger at Jasmine.
Jasmine moved closer. "Jasmine," Vera said, "you're giving me leftovers to work with? I don't even want a second look. How am I supposed to make Dorian jealous?"
"Vera, these are the top male models in the entire Capital City. They're almost as handsome as your brother."
Vera leaned back, her long hair spilling over her shoulders. Her face was small, her skin flawless. She looked innocent, but her smile was terrifying. "Are they as handsome as Dorian Warrington?"
She had grown up in the capital and hadn't seen Dorian in seventeen years.
Jasmine had returned to Southeast Asia first and had seen Dorian at the Warrington estate once.
"Well... no." Dorian's face was breathtakingly beautiful. Even the handsome men of the Warrington family paled in comparison.
Vera shot Jasmine a look, her radiant eyes four parts cold, six parts wicked. "Then how am I supposed to make Dorian a cuckold?"
Jasmine rubbed her forehead in frustration. Finding a man more handsome than Dorian was an impossible demand.
After a moment, Jasmine flashed a seductive smile and crooked her finger at the tallest model. If looks weren't enough, maybe other qualities would compensate.
"Vera, this one's handsome, charming, and—most importantly—he knows Muay Thai. He can help you fight Dorian!"
Vera glanced over lazily, raising an eyebrow.
She stood up and walked to the model, pulling out a bank card. She used it to lift his chin.
The model had a generic international face, but his muscular arms looked explosively powerful. He might just be good enough to make Dorian jealous.
"I'll take him—"
*BAM!*
The door to the private room was kicked open.
"Vice squad!" The lead officer held up his badge, speaking in Chinese. "Someone reported illegal transactions in this room. You're all coming with us."
Women of the Warrington family dreaded being taken to the station.
"Officer, it wasn't me..." Vera instantly transformed into a meek little rabbit, trying to defend herself.
But the officer didn't give her a chance. "Take them all!"
Vera: "..."
"Vera, should we run or reveal our identity?"
"Jasmine, if you dare reveal who I am, I'll break your neck!" The Warrington family rules were strict. If she ended up in a police station, getting her legs broken would be the least of her worries.
Jasmine's mind raced, searching for a solution.
As Vera was being led out of the private room area, a strikingly handsome Chinese man came into view.
He wore a casual suit but exuded a wild, unrestrained arrogance. He walked down the stairs with long, powerful strides, flanked by five or six men in suits.
The man was devastatingly handsome, with a hint of reckless pride in his brow.
When someone beside him spoke, he couldn't even be bothered to lift his eyelids, yet his oppressive aura flooded the bar.
Vera's eyes lit up brilliantly. *This man is absolutely stunning.*
She wanted to flirt with him.
She knew Dorian had fled to Europe to avoid her, but he had planted plenty of people to watch her in the shadows. If she could seduce this man and flaunt him in front of Dorian, the engagement would be over.
As the man stepped off the last stair, Vera flashed a sly smile. Moving faster than the eye could see, she darted into his arms, wrapping her arms around his lean waist. "Honey, why did you take so long to find me?!"
The man: "..."
His subordinates were dumbfounded.
When Jasmine saw the man's breathtaking face, her eyes went wide. *Little rabbit, do you have any idea you're hugging the big bad wolf?*
Dorian's body stiffened slightly. The girl in his arms smelled sweet, intoxicating. Her body was impossibly soft. Once he held her, he didn't want to let go.
He looked down at her, his gaze deep and predatory, as if trying to see through her.
"What did you call me?"
Vera's delicate face was pleading. "Mister, please pretend to be my fiancé."
"Ha?" Dorian let out a laugh. *This rabbit has grown everywhere except her memory.*
She didn't remember him from childhood. She'd even forgotten what happened four years ago.
*Wonderful.*
For the past two months, she had been running wild under his name. Now she was asking him to play himself?
This was too entertaining.
Meeting his fiancée tonight wasn't part of the plan, but since they had run into each other...
The deafening music of the bar drowned out his low murmur: "You crossed the line to provoke me. How could I refuse?"
"Mister, I've been very good." Seeing the officers approaching, Vera tightened her grip on him. "Help me out, and I'll repay you."
"Fine." Dorian wrapped an arm around her slender waist, tilting his head so his lips brushed against her pink ear. "Kiss me."
---
*Years of longing—this wolf's deepest love for that rabbit.*
*Pure love. No third parties.*
*She's a mischievous, rebellious little rabbit. He's a cunning, sharp-tongued big bad wolf with multiple identities—one who falls for her on his own and uses his looks to seduce her.*
*She's 20, nicknamed Bunny. He's 27, code name Wolf.*
---
Chapter 2: The Wolf in Sheep's Clothing
Vera's pupils contracted. "What did you say?"
The last time he'd seen her, she was still young and naive. Four years had passed, and the twenty-year-old rabbit had shed all her childishness. She was breathtakingly beautiful.
He wanted to kiss her.
Dorian coaxed her without changing his expression. "Do you think the police are that easy to fool? If you don't kiss me, how will they believe I'm your fiancé?"
It made sense.
Vera looked at his handsome face. *Kissing a man this good-looking—I won't lose anything.*
She tilted her head without hesitation and pressed her lips to his.
Dorian's eyes darkened. *His little fiancée was even sweeter than four years ago...*
When the officers caught up and saw Dorian, they froze.
Vera turned her head. "Officers, it's a misunderstanding. I'm here with my fiancé. His name is..." *What?*
She shot Dorian a questioning look. He smiled and gave a fake name. "Silas Vance."
Vera searched her memory. A moment later, her eyes lit up.
Silas Vance. A diamond tycoon. He had emerged only two years ago but had already monopolized the diamond market. He was someone who could rival Dorian Warrington.
*I have to win him over!*
The officers pretended to question Dorian.
Dorian answered politely, then ruffled Vera's hair, smiling handsomely and adoringly. "Just brought my little fiancée here to have some fun."
The officers, who knew the truth, were stunned. When they looked at Vera again, it was as if they'd seen a ghost.
Though the engagement hadn't been announced publicly, the officers who were close to Master Five knew that Dorian's fiancée was the most dangerous girl in Thailand—a notorious little terror.
The officers shuddered and quickly apologized. "Mr. Vance, we didn't know she was your fiancée. Sorry for the interruption..."
With that, they scurried away.
The models, unable to withstand Dorian's oppressive aura, also fled.
Vera raised an eyebrow. *The Capital City police are this easy to fool?*
"Hey." Dorian tightened his arm around her. "Had enough of hugging?"
Vera didn't let go. Even through his clothes, she could feel his physique.
*Wow, those pecs are rock hard.*
*Mmm, those eight-pack abs are mouthwatering.*
*Tsk, that face is dangerously handsome.*
This man was perfect from head to toe, capable of bewitching anyone.
She felt her face flush.
When Vera finally let go, Jasmine walked over. The word "Dorian" was on her lips, but Dorian silenced her with a look.
"?" Jasmine saw Vera transform into a sweet, obedient girl and realized she hadn't figured out that this man was her fiancé.
*And Dorian was playing along?*
*Oh, this was going to be good.*
Her legs were safe. Vera looked at Dorian, her beautiful eyes sparkling with mischief. "Mister, how do you want me to repay you?"
Dorian gave her a meaningful smile. "Let's go upstairs and talk about it."
He took her hand and led her upstairs.
Jasmine followed to watch the drama.
His subordinate Nova waved his hand, and the others left.
Upstairs was an upscale club. They sat down in a reserved area.
Dorian and Vera sat on a loveseat, with Jasmine across from them.
Nova stood behind Dorian, watching the little terror who had shed her childishness. *She's just a pretty, cute rabbit. Not as terrifying as everyone says.*
Vera noticed that the man was still holding her hand. She looked down. His hand was perfect—long fingers, well-defined knuckles, veins visible on the back. It was the kind of hand nurses loved.
You could hit a vein with your eyes closed.
He wore a string of dark agarwood prayer beads on his wrist, each bead engraved with sutras.
Vera raised an eyebrow. *My dad's been wearing a string of prayer beads my mom gave him for over twenty years. Who gave him his?*
As she pondered, he interlaced his fingers with hers.
She didn't stop him. She looked up and met his smiling eyes. "Mister, are you really the diamond dealer Silas Vance?"
Dorian locked his gaze on her face, his dark eyes shimmering like a galaxy.
"Of course. Chinese don't lie to Chinese."
Jasmine thought to herself: *Dorian, aren't you ashamed to say that?*
Dorian squeezed her soft hand. "What's your name?"
Not trusting him yet, Vera hid her surname. "Mister, you can call me Vera."
Dorian stared at her. "Vera, from what you said earlier, you have a fiancé?"
Vera's eyes darted slyly. *If I tell him it's Dorian Warrington, will he run away?*
"I do have a fiancé," Vera said. "But he's a pervert."
A cold glint flashed in Dorian's eyes, and a murderous aura seeped out.
Jasmine's scalp tingled. *Rabbit, even if Dorian is a pervert, don't say it to his face!*
Nova broke out in a cold sweat, ready to stop the wolf-rabbit war.
Dorian crushed the cigarette in his hand with a little too much force.
*This rabbit was something else!*
She used him and then called him a pervert. She had grown a pair!
Dorian let out a bitter laugh. "Tell me, how is he a pervert?"
Vera gritted her teeth. "I see him as an uncle, but he wants to marry me! Mister, isn't that perverted?"
Dorian countered, "Is he your real uncle?"
Vera shook her head. "He used to be my father's right-hand man."
"Then if he's not your real uncle," Dorian leaned in and pinched her cheek, "couldn't it be that he wants to marry you because he likes you?"
*Impossible! Dorian just wants to torment me!*
Vera was furious. "Mister, I'm telling you, he keeps another woman on the side! He's trying to make a fool of me!"
She had been searching for that woman for a month and couldn't find her.
The two onlookers looked at Dorian, waiting for his response.
Dorian raised an eyebrow. *Is she angry about the engagement because she thinks I have another woman?*
*Her rabbit ears are red with anger. Could she be jealous?*
Dorian's mood instantly improved. He let out an ambiguous laugh. "Vera, what do you plan to do? Do you want me to help you?"
Vera nodded and moved closer, her leg brushing against his. Her eyes sparkled with a cunning smile.
"Mister, do you have a girlfriend? Are you married?"
Dorian caught her sweet scent and smiled seductively. "No."
*I have you, my fearless fiancée.*
*No girlfriend means I can flirt with him.*
Vera beamed. "Then are you... durable?"
The onlookers: "..."
Dorian squinted. "You have high standards in that area?"
---
Chapter 3: This Man Was Wicked Enough—She Liked It
Vera didn't catch his double meaning. "I don't like men who give up halfway."
*I don't want a man who runs away after one hit from Dorian.*
They were on completely different wavelengths.
Dorian gave a roguish smile and leaned close to her ear. "Don't worry. I can satisfy all your needs anytime."
Vera instinctively shrank back. Once the tingling sensation passed, she said excitedly, "Then when my fiancé comes back, let's go flaunt our relationship in front of him and make him furious!"
Jasmine saw the smile on Dorian's face fade, replaced by a cold glare.
She quickly coughed twice to warn her friend.
Vera turned to her. "Cough again, and I'll sew your mouth shut!"
Jasmine: "..."
Nova struggled to hold back his laughter.
Dorian stared at Vera with a forced smile. "You want him dead that badly?"
"While the best wish for a woman is for her husband to die so she can get promoted and rich, I don't want that pervert dead."
Dorian snorted softly. *At least she doesn't want him dead. That's something.*
But the rabbit wasn't done. "If he dies, I'll have to be a widow!"
The two onlookers felt their scalps go numb. *They were risking their lives for this gossip.*
*Wonderful.*
*He'd deal with her next month.*
Dorian's lips curled into a sexy, sinister smile before his expression returned to normal. "Vera, I'll agree to your request, but you have to agree to one thing for me."
Vera grew wary. "What is it?"
*The little rabbit was cautious.*
Dorian went straight to the point. "I want to pursue you. Give me a chance?"
Vera's eyes flickered, reflecting his handsome, straightforward face.
*Wasn't she the one trying to seduce him? How did it turn into him seducing her?*
*Had the diamond tycoon taken a liking to her?*
*He knew she had a fiancé but still dared to pursue her. This man was wicked enough—she liked it.*
Vera smiled sweetly. "I don't agree to things for free."
*She wanted a gift?*
Dorian reached into his pocket and pulled out a large pink diamond, handing it to her. "New diamond from the company. Keep it safe."
Nova thought to himself, *New diamond? That's the engagement gift you spent two years crafting. You carry it everywhere to soothe your longing.*
Vera took the diamond from his fingers, her eyes lighting up like stars. It was a rare pink diamond that shimmered with a purple-pink hue under the light. It had been meticulously shaped into a rabbit, lifelike and flawless.
Dorian stroked her head. "Do you like it?"
"I love it." Vera adored anything rabbit-themed. "My nickname is Bunny."
*Of course, he knew.* A seductive smile spread across his face.
Jasmine watched Dorian. *Good grief, his predatory gaze looks like he wants to devour her.*
Once she accepted the token of affection, Dorian didn't bother asking if she agreed. He would pursue her regardless.
Just then, Jasmine received a call from Victor Warrington.
Jasmine glanced at Vera, who was captivated by the man's looks, and answered the call in a local dialect Vera didn't understand.
After hanging up, Jasmine said, "Vera, your brother is here to pick us up."
Vera and Dorian exchanged contact information.
She noticed his profile picture was a white Arctic wolf. She zoomed in.
Unlike her own profile picture, the wolf in his had a cute, beautiful white rabbit nestled in its arms.
*Survival of the fittest. No matter how agile the rabbit, it would eventually be devoured by the wolf.*
But the wolf and rabbit in his profile picture looked eerily harmonious.
Vera glanced at the man, a strange sense of foreboding washing over her...
"Silas, when I'm on break, I'll come find you to play."
Dorian stood up and pulled Vera back.
"Vera." He drew her close, lowering his head—something he never did for anyone. His dangerous, masculine aura enveloped her.
He looked at her porcelain face, his tone light and teasing. "Did you forget something?"
Vera knew he was referring to the favor he'd done for her. She watched his Adam's apple bob slightly and unconsciously licked her lips.
"What do you want me to do to repay you?"
His gaze dropped to her pink lips. The meaning was clear.
"Vera understands~" She tilted her head and kissed him.
Just as she was about to pull away, he pressed a hand to the back of her head.
Her lips were as soft as ever, sweet and addictive.
After a brief taste, Dorian affectionately ruffled her hair. "I'll take you out to play when you're on break."
The elevator descended floor by floor.
Vera licked her lips, savoring the taste, then shot Jasmine a sideways glance. "Jasmine, why did you speak in dialect with my brother tonight?"
The Warringtons disliked hearing local dialects.
"Silas Vance isn't simple. We need to be careful." Jasmine answered calmly, her brow furrowed.
*If Dorian was at the bar tonight, his best friend Zane must be here too.*
As she expected.
Two cars were parked outside the bar.
Victor Warrington leaned casually against a Maybach, smiling. Zane stood expressionless in front of an off-road vehicle.
When he saw Jasmine come out, Zane opened the passenger door.
Jasmine was annoyed just seeing him. "Can't he leave me alone?"
Vera glanced at Zane. "Instead of getting angry, think about why Zane shows up every time you find male models."
Jasmine's amber eyes narrowed dangerously. *Damn it. Had Zane planted spies around her?*
*No wonder they'd been reported tonight. No wonder Dorian had shown up!*
*Annoying!*
The Maybach headed toward the Warrington villa.
Vera asked her brother, "Aren't you supposed to be the crown prince in Mandalay? Why are you back in the Capital City?"
"Mom and Dad went on vacation. They told me to come back and keep an eye on you." Victor tapped his fingers on the steering wheel. "Vera, Jasmine said you've set your sights on the diamond dealer Silas Vance?"
"Yeah. Help me look into his background. If he's clean, I'll start pursuing him. Once I win him over, Dorian will have no choice but to call off the engagement."
Victor smirked. *If you win him over, you'll cry your eyes out.*
"Do you like Silas?"
Vera said lazily, "Like him? I love him."
Victor glanced at his sister. He only saw lust in her eyes. "You just want his body. You're such a flirt. I'm telling Mom and Dad."
Vera's face cooled. "Don't. I don't want him anymore."
Victor teased her. "I've met Silas. One look from him can steal a woman's soul. And you don't want him? Are you into women?"
"Victor." Vera shot her brother a wicked smile, exerting her dominance. "Are you asking for trouble?"
Victor fell silent. *The little demon had inherited their mother's wickedness. If you crossed her, she'd destroy your mental world.*
He couldn't beat his sister, but Dorian could.
"Vera," Victor said, "Silas is a clean diamond dealer. He even does business with the Warrington Group. He's an upright man. If you want to pursue him, go ahead."
*You'll be crying in a month.*
Vera was silent for a moment before asking, "When is Dorian coming back?"
"Tomorrow. A business partner invited him to a wine tasting at the InterContinental Lounge at 3 PM. He's already accepted."
Vera perked up, sitting straight with a fierce look. "Tomorrow, I'll go to the InterContinental Lounge and kill Dorian Warrington!"
Victor smirked inwardly.
---
The next afternoon.
On the rooftop of the Warrington Group building, Dorian stepped off a helicopter in a casual suit. Nova immediately approached him. "Sir, the people who hijacked our shipment are at the InterContinental Lounge."
Dorian lit a cigarette with a casual air. Under the swirling smoke, his handsome face looked even more sinister.
As always, his first question was, "Where's the rabbit?"
"The little princess is at the InterContinental Lounge looking for you."
Dorian flashed a wicked smile and rolled his neck. "Let's go to the InterContinental Lounge and catch a rabbit."
---
Chapter 4: Why Won't Dorian Warrington Face Me?
At the InterContinental Executive Lounge in the Capital City.
Jasmine couldn't leave the house, so Vera put on an ugly makeup look and a white casual outfit to blend in at the event.
The wine tasting was attended by business elites and aristocrats. The room glittered with jewels and clinking glasses.
Vera immediately drew attention. Her face was hideous, but her aura was unmistakably noble.
People whispered, wondering which heiress she was.
Vera scanned the room sharply. When she heard someone call out, "Mr. Warrington," she smirked coldly and strode toward the man whose back was to her.
"Dorian Warrington!" Vera shouted angrily. Just as she was about to strike, the man turned around.
Vera frowned. It wasn't Dorian. It was Aldric, the executive president of the Warrington Group.
"Aldric, where's Dorian?"
Aldric sighed when he saw her makeup. For two months, Vera had been charging in at the slightest rumor, causing chaos when she couldn't find her fiancé.
The first time, she trashed Dorian's office. The second time, she smashed his car. The third time, she destroyed his private helicopter.
Aldric forced a smile. "Vera, the CEO hasn't returned from Europe yet."
"Victor is lying to me. He's asking for it." Vera's eyes burned with fury. "Aldric, why won't Dorian face me?"
Aldric thought, *It's not that he won't. It's that he can't.*
Only the old-timers around Master Five knew the reason.
Four years ago, during summer break, Vera had returned to the Capital City. She and Jasmine went to a bar. The moment Jasmine looked away, a rich kid slipped Vera a drug.
Dorian had been looking for Vera.
As the antidote entered Vera's bloodstream, a nano-bomb was injected under the rich kid's skin.
The next day, the rich kid's parents begged Dorian to spare their son.
Dorian was surprisingly agreeable.
But the moment they left the bar, the parents watched their only son explode before their eyes.
Afterward, the rich father used all his power to fight Dorian, only to be outmaneuvered and lose his entire family fortune.
After that incident, Dorian went to Master Five and said, "I want to marry Vera."
Master Five: "..."
Dorian was beaten black and blue but left smiling.
At the time, Dorian was a ruthless, arrogant killer. He needed time to temper his murderous edge.
Vera was also too young. A relationship would affect her studies.
So, although the engagement was arranged, Dorian and Master Five agreed: Dorian wouldn't appear before Vera until she turned twenty.
---
Vera had failed to find Dorian again. She slowly turned to the man beside Aldric. "Fletcher, come with me. I need you for something."
Fletcher smiled bitterly. *Whatever the little demon wanted to do, it wouldn't be good.*
"Vera, I have to go back to the office soon. Why don't you take Aldric with you?"
Aldric: "..."
"You won't come?" Vera smiled. "Aldric, tell Dorian that Fletcher assaulted me."
"Yes!" Aldric pulled out his phone vengefully.
Fletcher kept his composure, but inwardly he was furious. "Fine, I'll go!"
Vera snorted. *Dorian's men were easy to manipulate.*
The InterContinental Lounge was built by Dorian after he took over the Warrington Group. Every floor had his private lounge.
Fletcher followed Vera into the lounge on that floor.
She stopped in front of an expensive wine cabinet and uttered a single word. "Smash."
Fletcher was on the verge of tears. "Little princess, these are your fiancé's珍藏. If I smash them, I'm dead."
"Fletcher, you don't have to smash them."
Fletcher brightened.
Vera smiled. "Unless you can make Dorian come back and see me."
"...I'll smash them."
Vera picked up a bottle of wine, sat on a high stool, and elegantly poured herself a glass.
The more elegant she looked, the more terrified Fletcher became.
Vera swirled the glass, not drinking, just playing.
"Fletcher, for every bottle left unsmashed, I'll add a scar to your body."
"...Got it." Sweating profusely, Fletcher gritted his teeth, picked up a bat, and smashed bottle after bottle.
By the time the cabinet was empty, Vera was happy. Fletcher was heartbroken.
Vera was leaving empty-handed again. As she walked out of the private lounge, Dorian stepped out of the elevator.
Behind him were Nova and Boreas.
He was still in a casual suit, striding on impossibly long legs. Though he was smiling, he exuded the aura of a man forged in bloodshed.
*Why was Silas here?*
Vera decided to stay. She said to Fletcher behind her, "For the sake of that handsome face, I'll let you off today."
"Thank you, little ancestor!"
Fletcher followed Vera back to the main event to watch the show.
---
Chapter 5: You Look Just Like the Warrington Princess
The moment Dorian entered the lounge, the entire room fell silent.
A cigarette dangled from his lips. His face was devilishly handsome. He was tall—at least 1.9 meters—with legs that seemed to go on forever.
The moment he walked in, the ceiling seemed lower.
This man, the object of desire for every woman in Southeast Asia, entered the room, yet no woman dared approach him. His murderous aura was palpable.
Vera slipped in behind him, found an inconspicuous spot, and sat down. Her cunning eyes locked onto him. She told Fletcher to translate.
Dorian stopped at a round table, looking down at the three men seated there with a contemptuous smile.
The three men were prominent local businessmen, each with their families.
When they saw Dorian, they immediately put on smiling faces. "Mr. Warrington, you're here too."
They spoke in Thai.
Fletcher translated carefully.
Vera heard Dorian reply in Thai. For the first time, she found the language beautiful.
When he spoke Thai, his voice was deep and textured.
Dorian chuckled, taking the cigarette from his lips. "I heard you three—Mr. Huxley, Mr. Sterling, and Mr. Quinn—have come into some money. I'm here to congratulate you."
The three men sensed the chill in his tone. They forced a laugh, unsure of his intentions.
"Not at all, Mr. Warrington..."
Dorian cut them off impatiently. "You hijacked Silas Vance's diamonds, didn't you?"
The three men were stunned. Then came the bigger shock.
"Funny thing is, I am Silas Vance."
The three men's jaws dropped. Unprecedented terror crept over them.
"You hijacked such a large shipment of my diamonds. Quite an appetite." Dorian flicked his ash into a wine glass, then looked at Mr. Huxley. "Mr. Huxley, when you stretch your hand too far, shouldn't it be cut off?"
"Mr. Warrington, it's a misunderstanding. We wouldn't dare hijack your diamonds." Mr. Sterling tried to deny it, but a hand suddenly clamped onto the back of his neck. He turned to face a thick cloud of smoke.
"Did I ask you to speak?" Dorian raised an eyebrow at him.
The man's beautiful hand exerted no force, but Mr. Sterling didn't dare move. Cold sweat poured down his back.
Dorian was still smiling, but the three men knew they were in for a bloodbath.
Silas Vance was low-key, but Dorian Warrington was high-profile and ruthless.
"What's the matter?" Dorian looked at the trembling men with contempt. "Did you think that by going through international waters and hiring pirates as scapegoats, I wouldn't find out?"
Mr. Huxley stammered, "Mr. Warrington, the diamonds are in my dock warehouse. I'll have them sent to you immediately. Whatever else you want, we'll comply."
Dorian's diamonds had been hijacked. Not drawing blood wasn't his style.
But his fiancée was here. Scaring the rabbit would make it harder to catch her.
Dorian laid out a few demands. The three men agreed frantically.
Before leaving, Dorian mentioned something amusing for no apparent reason.
"Mr. Huxley, I heard you three came up with the brilliant idea of hijacking my goods while sleeping together?" He looked at the shortest man, Mr. Sterling. "Tsk. Mr. Sterling, as the lowest-ranked, you must have been... bullied by the other two?"
The three men: "..."
As the three wives started yelling at their husbands, a sweet laugh came from a corner, breaking the tension.
Everyone turned to look. A hideous girl was laughing joyfully.
"Mr. Warrington is dealing with someone. How dare that ugly girl laugh? She's got guts."
Dorian's sharp gaze cut through the crowd and landed on the ugly girl.
She was uniquely ugly, her eyes full of cunning. *That's my fearless fiancée.*
Dorian smirked, stubbed out his cigarette on Mr. Quinn's arm, and walked over.
Everyone thought he was going to punish the ugly girl. They held their breath for her.
But to everyone's shock, Dorian stopped behind her, leaned down naturally, and placed his hands on either side of hers, enveloping her in his embrace.
Everyone was dumbfounded.
Everyone in Southeast Asia knew that Dorian Warrington, though famously uninterested in women, kept a woman at home.
But that woman was said to be Chinese. This girl's features were clearly Sino-Burmese. She wasn't the mysterious Chinese woman.
Yet Dorian was openly doting on this ugly girl. *Had his taste changed? Did he now like uniquely ugly women?*
*No wonder those beautiful socialites and actresses always ended up injured when they tried to flirt with him.*
Dorian leaned close to Vera's ear, smiling. "Vera, was what I said funny?"
Vera tilted her head and looked up at him. "Fun."
*And wicked. Just like her.*
"Those three hijacked a shipment of my diamonds. How should I get back at them?"
Vera's eyes darted. She hadn't been idle for the past two months. While investigating Dorian, she had also dug up dirt on every business magnate.
*Revenge with blood was boring.*
Vera pointed at Mr. Huxley and said with a wicked smile, "His wife is cheating with her daughter's boyfriend."
Fletcher translated loudly.
Everyone: "..."
*What the hell.*
Mr. Huxley flew into a rage. He grabbed his daughter's boyfriend and started beating him. His wife screamed and attacked her husband to protect her lover. Their daughter, furious, joined her father in beating her mother and the cheating boyfriend.
The family went berserk, fighting among themselves.

The businessman hurried over. "Miss, you look just like the Warrington princess..."

Dorian: "..."
"Sorry to bother you." The businessman looked at Dorian, about to greet
